A 25-YEAR-OLD woman escaped being raped when she was attacked outside a tavern at Masinenge informal settlement in Margate last Saturday.
She suffered only a swollen lip and a laceration on her hand.
“At about 2am she went outside the tavern and a man kicked her and held her at knife point,” said police spokesman, Captain Gerald Mfeka.
“He told her to strip and then cut her underwear. Luckily, he was disturbed by other patrons from the tavern and he fled,” said Capt Mfeka.
