A SCOTTBURGH couple was robbed by two men at their Galway Street home last Friday, according to Scottburgh SAPS communications officer Captain Vincent Pandarum.
The husband and wife were working in their garden. The 59-year-old man went into the house, where two men were hiding in the kitchen.
As he entered the kitchen he was struck with the butt of a pistol by one of the men. The injury required medical attention.
The man’s wife, highly traumatised and in shock, was taken to Kingsway Hospital along with her husband.
“A case of house robbery has been registered for investigation. No arrests have been made as yet,” said Captain Pandarum.
