Worker helps himself to cash

Police found the man at his house, counting the bank notes.

A WORKER (25), employed by a family in Oslo Beach, was arrested on Monday this week on suspicion of stealing a large sum of money.

Police spokesman, Lieutenant-Colonel Zandra Wiid, said that the man was arrested by members of the Port Shepstone 10111 response unit, the K9 unit and crime prevention unit. A local security company also assisted.

When the employer looked for the cash, it transpired that both the money and the employee were missing, –  Lt-Col Wiid.

Police acted on information received and the suspect was found at his house in Louisiana, where he was still counting the bank notes.

He was arrested and will be appearing in court soon.
