WARRANT Officer Paul Loubser and Constable Skhumbuzo Maphumulo of the Umzinto K9 Unit shared the ‘catch-of-the-day’ when they arrested a 32-year-old man at Umkomaas beach on Monday afternoon.
Permit-less Robert Chetty was arrested for being in possession of 17 crayfish (twice the bag limit and some under-sized) and 164 mussels.
Chetty appeared in the Scottburgh Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday, April 26. He was released on bail of R500.
The case has been postponed until Tuesday, May 17.
