SAPS finance clerk arrested
The woman could also face a disciplinary investigation.
TWO women, one of them a senior administration clerk in the Port Shepstone SAPS finance department, were arrested for shoplifting at a local shopping centre last Sunday.
“It is claimed that the two women, aged 42 and 44 respectively, were leaving a clothing store with a trolley which contained items of clothing for which they had not paid,” said police spokesman, Lieutenant-Colonel Zandra Wiid.
They were arrested and handed over to police before being charged and released on bail.
They appeared in the Port Shepstone Magistrate’s court on Monday this week and the case was postponed to July for further investigation.
The SAPS clerk could also face a disciplinary investigation.
