Just in: Woman stabbed at St Mike’s beach

The woman was attacked with a bottle.

AN attempted robbery at St Michael’s beach earlier this morning has left a 23-year-old woman injured.

Reports from the scene indicate that the woman was at the beach when she was stabbed by man who was attempting to rob her.

Athlenda Mathe, spokesman for Netcare 911, said the woman’s attacker stabbed her in the arm with a bottle.

“Netcare 911 paramedics managed to stabilise the woman at the scene before transporting her to a nearby hospital for further medical care.”
