Beware of cash for jobs scam

HCM warns against people offering to secure jobs for cash.

THE public has been warned by Hibiscus Coast municipal manager Max Mbili against fraudsters trying to con people into paying cash for non-existent jobs.

“There are people who claim they can secure you a job at the municipality… for a fee. Please don’t fall into that trap. We do not require any payments for municipal jobs, they come free through a clear municipal recruitment and selection process, ” said Mr Mbili.

Job seekers were urged to respond to adverts published on municipal websites or in official newspapers and not to people on the street.

“Also, report these crooks to my office or the police,” he said.
