Update: No arrests in police car park death
The Nair family has pleaded for anyone with information to come forward.
POLICE have yet to make an arrest following the death of Albersville resident Dane Nair (26), who was found slumped in his bakkie outside the Port Shepstone Police Station last Monday night at about 9pm.
It is believed that Mr Nair had gone to the police station the day before to report that his life was in danger. Now his family is calling for justice for Dane.
His sister, Rani Landsberg, said her brother had told many people that he was being threatened and his life was in danger. “His death has left a void in our lives. Where are all these people to whom Dane mentioned that his life was in danger. Why do they not speak up?” she asked.
She added that, judging from his injuries, her brother had put up a fight.

On Monday this week the Herald received information that two men living in Port Shepstone had been arrested or taken in for questioning.
However police spokesman, Captain Vincent Pandarum said there was no truth to the rumour.
“Investigations are continuing in earnest, and these investigations include obtaining all relevant statements,” he said.
