Car thieves caught in Harding

The police were called when the suspects refused to pay for the repairs.

THREE men, aged 22, 26 and 34 respectively,  were arrested in Harding for being in possession of a stolen vehicle.

On July 4 the men took the vehicle to a workshop for repairs as it would not start.

Five days later, they returned to the premises to collect the vehicle, but would not pay for the repairs and became aggressive.

Police spokesman, Lieutenant-Colonel Zandra Wiid, said the police in Harding were then called and upon checking it was established that the vehicle had been stolen from Berea, Durban.

The three were arrested and detained.
