They will be profiled to establish if they can be linked to other break-ins in the Hibberdene area.
A GANG of house robbers, caught relaxing on the same couches they stole, were arrested by police in Hibberdene this week.
Sergeant Eugene Blankenberg, Constable Thulazi Mayeza, Constable Simingaye Mavundla and Constable Kavithasen Naidoo were investigating a house breaking case which occurred in May in the Nyangwini area near Hibberdene, when they made the breakthrough.
Police spokesman, Lieutenant-Colonel Zandra Wiid said the officers found three men, all in their early 20s inside a house, relaxing on couches and watching TV.
It was established that the television was the one which had been stolen in the May robbery, as were the couches. Several other stolen household items were also recovered.
Three men were arrested and detained. They will be charged with the possession of stolen property and will appear the Hibberdene Magistrate’s Court.
They will also be profiled to establish if they can be linked to other break-ins in the Hibberdene area.
