Police give back for Mandela Day

The men in blue cleared bushes and handed out groceries to needy families.

POLICE  from Paddock did their bit to celebrate 67 minutes for Mandela Day on Monday this week.

IMG_4895 (Custom)Police spokesman, Lieutenant-Colonel Zandra Wiid said that they cleared bushes and invader trees near the Nyandezulu  taxi rank and also close to Thandumntwana crèche so that the community can be safe from criminals who hide in the vegetation.

Groceries were handed over to two needy families  in the area and the police planted vegetable gardens for the families and gave them seedlings to sustain them for the coming months.

The community were very grateful to the police for this initiative.
