Invungu River Conservancy’s bowls fundraiser a hit
Local companies and conservancy supporters donated a wonderful array of prizes and items for the charity auction that was part of the fun.
The Ivungu River Conservancy committee was overwhelmed by the massive support it received regarding its recent fun bowling day.
This was held at the Riverside Bowling Club last Saturday, with the bowlers enthusiastically helping the conservancy to host the fundraising event.
Soon after the date was set, entries began to pour in.
Much to the organisers’ delight, it was a full house by the day of the event.

Local companies and conservancy supporters generously donated a wonderful array of prizes and items for the charity auction that was part of the fun.
Although many of the bowlers were new to the sport, experienced bowlers were on hand to assist them, and soon everyone was having a great time on the greens.
After the bowling wrapped up, the fun continued, with Louis Boshoff conducting a lively auction and the Sound Dogs providing the live music.
Committee members took over the club kitchen to churn out delicious homemade hamburgers.
The conservancy thanked everyone who organised and supported this very successful fundraiser.
