HAWKS officers in Port Shepstone on Tuesday last week arrested a 20-year-old woman for being in possession of dagga.
The officers received information about a suspect who was smuggling dagga from the Eastern Cape to Durban using public transport.

An operation was subsequently conducted at Oribi Toll Plaza in Marburg near Port Shepstone. During the roadblock Akhona Tapu was found with 3.020 kg of dagga in her luggage.
She appeared in the Port Shepstone Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday, and the case was postponed to September 1.
She remains in police custody.
Recently, five people were also arrested in different occasions for the possession of dagga after information was received that they were trafficking the drug from Eastern Cape to KZN.
They appeared in the Port Shepstone Magistrate’s Court and are out on bail.
