Two women raped
One of the women was held by the throat, dragged to a house and raped.
A WOMAN and a teenager were raped in separate attacks last Sunday.
A 19-year-old from Shobashobane, Izingolweni, met her former boyfriend while walking home last Sunday at about 2pm.
The two spoke and agreed to meet later in the day.
“The former boyfriend sent two men to fetch her and she accompanied the men to one of their homes,” said police spokesman, Captain Gerald Mfeka.
At the house the teenager went into a room with her former boyfriend.
A while later she wanted to leave, but the man refused to let her go.
He then took her to his house were he raped her.
Izingolweni police are yet to make an arrest.
* In another case, a 29-year-old woman was raped in Mvutshini near Ramsgate at about 4.30am.
The woman went to a house where there was to be a family gathering.
After the event, the woman and a friend left to return home and were confronted by two men.
The woman was grabbed by the throat by one of the men and forced into a house, where she was raped.
Margate police arrested a suspect who appeared in the Ramsgate court on Monday this week.
The case was postponed for further investigation.
