BEWARE: Shoppers could be robbers

Be careful - all is not always as it seems.

THREE armed robbers, pretending to buy furniture, held up A1 Furnishers  in Umzinto at gunpoint last Friday afternoon.

The assailants helped themselves to a considerable sum of money from the safe before fleeing the store.

The store manager was struck on the head with a firearm.

“He was rushed to a doctor by relatives as he was bleeding,” said Scottburgh SAPS communications officer, Captain Vincent Pandarum.

A case of business robbery has been registered for investigation.

No arrests have been made as yet and investigations continue.
