A MIDDLE-AGED man is in a serious condition after being stabbed multiple times in Deepvale Road, Marburg last night.

Reports from the scene indicate that the man was being robbed at the time.

Netcare 911 paramedics were called to assist paramedics from another emergency service.

The man was stabilised and taken to a nearby hospital.

Police are investigating.
