A hijack victim's body was later found hanging from a tree.

FIVE suspects, aged between 18 and 33,  have appeared in the Ramsgate Magistrate’s Court on charges of murder, carjacking and house robbery.

On October 10, the Port Shepstone Dog Unit and Margate detectives went to the Bhokodisa area in Ramsgate where they arrested a 20-year-old man for murder and carjacking.  Zandile Cele (45) was driving on the R61 Port Edward on May 10 when she was hijacked. Her body was later found hanging from a tree.

The suspect is also linked to a case in which a 56-year-old man was hijacked at gunpoint.

His vehicle. tablet, a purse and cellphone were taken. The stolen vehicle was seized from the suspect.

In Masinenge, the officers arrested four suspects for house robbery. On October 9, a man (38) was entering his house when he was accosted by three men.

They forced him inside his home at gunpoint, assaulted him and bound his hands with shoelaces before fleeing with two cellphones, takkies, cigarette, cash and clothing.

A fourth suspect was arrested after he was found in possession of a firearm stolen at Mzamba in May.
