THE estimated value of drugs seized by police on Monday night in Margate is about R140 777.
Officers from the Port Shepstone K9 unit stopped a vehicle on the R61 near Seaslopes Road.
There were three occupants in the vehicle and, upon conducting a search, police discovered several bags filled with dagga, weighing in at 82.81 kg.
One man was arrested and charged. He appeared in court on Tuesday this week and the case was postponed for further investigation.
In another stop and search operation in Margate, dagga weighing 1.32 kg was found. Two men were arrested and charged. They appeared in the Ramsgate court on Tuesday this week.
The value of the dagga is about R2 000.
