Woman beats up mother-in-law

The 63-year-old woman was taken to hospital.

A MOTHER-of-four was arrested and charged with assault and grievous bodily harm after apparently assaulting her mother-in-law in Palmview last Sunday.

Police spokesman, Lieutenant-Colonel Zandra Wiid said the woman (35) went to her mother-in-law’s home, where an argument ensued.

“It is claimed that the daughter-in-law then assaulted the older woman who suffered injuries to her face and legs,” she said.

The elderly woman was taken to hospital.

According to police reports, the daughter-in-law had left the area but was later arrested and charged.

She appeared in court and the case was postponed to November 3.
