PORT Shepstone Senior Primary held its annual awards day last Wednesday. Pupils who excelled academically, as well as in sport and other special categories, were recognised for their efforts.
In her motivational address, guest speaker Jill Sparrow encouraged pupils to continue to strive for excellence, but emphasised the need for them to be mindful of the fast-changing world that faces their generation and the importance of making good choices.
In the special awards category, the following pupils received awards: Le’mard Pillay – sportsman of the year; Iman Khan – sportswoman of the year; Iman Khan and Zanda Dube shared the best all-rounder (girls) award; Declan Lloyd – best all-rounder (boys); Aqeel Jaffar – good fellowship (boys); Clarissa Govender – good fellowship (girls); Iman Khan – dux approximae, and Safiyyah Motala – 2016 dux.
