Salga games kick off

All district municipalities will be competing in 16 different sporting codes.

SPORT lovers are urged to get ‘set’ as the Ugu District Municipality is hosting nine district municipalities as well as Ethekwini Metro for the Provincial SALGA KZN-DSR Games from Thursday this week to Sunday, December 11.

All district municipalities will be competing in 16 different sporting codes for the number one spot in the province.

Sporting codes and venues are as follows:

* Athletics, cricket, indigenous games and swimming take place at Creston College.

* Basketball, chess, football, karate and netball take place at the Ugu Sports and Leisure Centre.

* Dance and tennis will be taking place at Uvongo Town Hall and Uvongo Tennis Club with rugby at Douglas Mitchell Sports Ground and golf at Margate Country Club.
