TWO men, thought to be part of a gang of house robbers, were arrested earlier this afternoon by quick thinking cops.
During a crime intelligence operation, driven by Margate Intelligence Unit, police spotted a suspicious vehicle (a gold Toyota Corolla) at a shopping centre in Port Shepstone.
As soon as the gang of four realised they were being followed by the long arm of the law, two of the men jumped out the vehicle and fled on foot.
Police spokesman, Lieutenant-Colonel Zandra Wiid, said the other two men were however arrested and are currently in police custody.
Police found that the Corolla’s registration plates were false. They also recovered house breaking implements, gloves and balaclavas inside the vehicle.
It is suspected the men had been involved in house breakings on the South Coast.
