Missing man found dead
The 44-year-old was found dead on the toll road near Marburg.
A MAN who had been missing for three days was found dead in the Marburg area.
Last Friday family reported that Thamsanqa Momoza (44) failed to return home after work.
He was last seen on Friday afternoon.
“It was then established that he never arrived at work,” said police spokesman, Lieutenant-Colonel Zandra Wiid.
Warrant Officers Rams Ramphul and Johan Maree from Port Shepstone, together with W/O Marc Wiid and W/O Rommel da Rosa then started a search for the man, which continued until Saturday. This however proved fruitless.
On Sunday Mr Momoza’s body was found in a clump of eucalyptus trees near the toll road in Marburg. He had two stab wounds to his chest.
Officers from Port Shepstone Search and Rescue retrieved the body.
“The motive for the killing is being investigated and a murder docket was opened,” said Lt-Col Wiid.
