A WOMAN on her way to deposit the takings from a business was robbed on her way to the bank.
Yesterday morning, while en route, the woman was accosted by a man armed with a knife. The man grabbed the bag of money and fled.
“Although a search was conducted by police, no one was arrested,” said police spokesman, Lieutenant-Colonel Zandra Wiid. “We urge the public to be alert when withdrawing or depositing money. Avoid walking alone with cash or expensive items such as jewellery in plain sight. Report suspicious people immediately to the police,” she said.
