The robbers entered the store with their faces covered with scarves and hats.

THREE men armed with a firearm and knives robbed a supermarket in Izingolweni last Friday.

Police spokesman, Captain Gerald Mfeka said at about 7.40pm the owner of the store was confronted by three men. “The men entered the store with their faces covered with scarves and hats. One of the men was armed with a firearm and the other two with knives,” said Captain Mfeka.

The robbers ordered the owner and his staff to lie on the floor while they helped themselves to cash, cigarettes and cellphones. No arrests have yet been made and Izingolweni police are investigating a business robbery.
