IT’S full steam ahead at Merlewood Primary and gr 1 pupils have all settled in.
There were a few tearful moments from both parents and pupils, but after the first week confident little pupils were ready to proceed with the academic year. Admissions for 2017 are now closed, however the school does still have space available for gr 1 pupils.
It is exciting to note that good progress has been made with the construction of phase one of the new school and work has commenced on phase two. Pupils have been accommodated in mobile classrooms in the interim and the anticipation amongst pupils and teachers is palpable.
