JAI HIND Primary is settling down well with admissions in all grades now finalised and the school looks forward to an academically rewarding year. All pupils have been issued with the relevant stationery and textbooks.
Pupils are making full use of the swimming pool, which is a welcome relief from the blazing summer heat. Teachers Ivan Govender and Nevesh Naicker will coach swimming. All pupils are reminded that they need the proper apparel like a towel, a swimming cap and swimwear to take part.
Swimming lessons are important because they form an integral part of the life skills assessment programme. A swimming gala has been planned for March.
Peer leaders will be attending a leadership course at Teen Ranch in Port Edward today and tomorrow (January 26 and 27) and the school wishes them well. No doubt they will return to school richer for the experience.
