WORK has started in earnest at Port Shepstone Senior Primary and all new pupils have adjusted well.
The term one monitor induction took place last Friday and a total of 45 new monitors were inducted. The school’s extra-mural programme has commenced and cricket teams look forward to fixtures against Port Edward Primary next week.
Parents are reminded that the extra-mural programme runs from Monday to Thursday between 2 and 3pm. On days where there are fixtures, pupils are advised in advance of collection times via coaches.
There was a good turnout of parents at the gr 4 and gr 7 meetings and parents are thanked for their support.
PSSP congratulates Wouter Viljoen on his appointment as head of department (HOD). Mr Viljoen has served the school loyally for the past 23 years and is wished well. The school also extends a warm welcome to new gr 6 teacher Tess-lyn Green-Thompson.
