A GCILIMA woman en route to work was robbed on the Bushy Vales Road, near Southbroom last Saturday.
According to police spokesman, Captain Gerald Mfeka the 31-year-old woman was confronted by a man who threatened her with a knife.
“He grabbed her bag but she fought back. He then tried to stab her and she resisted. He fled taking her cellphone, cash, ID and bank cards,” said Captain Mfeka.
No arrests have been made and Margate SAPS is investigating.
Residents of Gcilima, especially women, are advised not to walk alone.
