Donovan Stephen was a passenger in the vehicle when the driver lost control on Seaslopes Road.

DONOVON Stephen from Port Shepstone, who was involved in a serious collision on Seaslopes Road near Margate last Tuesday night, remains in a serious, but stable condition at City Hospital in Durban.

The 29-year-old, the son of Colonel Edward and Odel Stephen, suffered serious injuries when the driver of the car in which he was travelling lost control of the vehicle.

It was reported that Donovon was the driver of the vehicle, but he was, in fact, a passenger.

Yesterday Col Stephen said there had been ‘lots of improvement’ in his son’s condition. “He’s in a serious, but stable condition. He fractured his neck and is due to have an operation soon,” he said.

He thanked the community of Port Shepstone for their support and prayers during this difficult time.
