Scorned woman accused of murdering lover before attending church prayer meeting
In a strange twist, the woman accused of stabbing her boyfriend to death appeared in court on St Valentine's Day.
WHETHER murder accused Goodness Hlongwane had gone to church to confess her sins remains unclear.
However, there is a strong possibility that she may have killed her boyfriend in a jealous fit of rage.

Hlongwane (52) was apparently upset last month after being informed that her lover was seeing another woman. She decided to investigate.
“She found her lover – Mandla Nzimande (47) – in the company of another woman in Dumisa,” said Scottburgh SAPS communications officer, Captain Vincent Pandarum.
From there, it seems, all hell broke loose.
Hlongwane, armed with a the neck of a broken glass bottle, attacked and stabbed her former lover, severing an artery in his right arm. Nzimande, bleeding profusely, watched as Hlongwane fled the scene.
Paramedics were called and treated Nzimande before he was taken GJ Crookes Hospital, where he died from severe blood loss.
The Scottburgh SAPS Detective Service later that day arrested Goodness Thabsile Hlongwane at a church in Amandawe, where she was attending a prayer meeting.

“She was charged with murder,” said Captain Pandarum.
Hlongwane appeared in the Scottburgh Magistrate’s Court on St Valentine’s Day.
She was remanded back into police custody until her next court appearance.
