403 capsules of ready-to-sell heroin seized at Sheppie taxi rank
The street value of the drugs is estimated to be more than R18 000.
HUNDREDS of ready to-be-sold capsules of heroin were seized at the Port Shepstone taxi rank on two separate occasions on the same day.
“On Sunday at around 10am police from Port Shepstone Public Order Policing (POP) followed up on information received and arrested a 26-year-old woman who had 378 capsules of heroin in her possession,” said police spokesman, Lieutenant-Colonel Zandra Wiid.

Shortly afterwards a 26-year-old man was arrested with 25 capsules of heroin in his possession. The street value of the drugs is R18 360.
Both suspects were detained and appeared in the Port Shepstone court on Monday this week. The case was postponed for further investigation.
In another bust early last Thursday morning, Captain Raymond Shusha from Port Shepstone SAPS, arrested and charged a man (60) for cultivating 30 dagga a plants in his yard in Madakane ward, Murchison.

Port Shepstone station commander, Brigadier Sandra Nala, has welcomed the arrests and praised the officers for exposing the drugs dealers in the Port Shepstone policing precinct.
She also pointed out that in depth investigation will be launched into the drug activities so that the suppliers can be identified and dealt with.
