HIBBERDENE Academy’s gr 11 pupils went ‘Americana’ with their matric dance fund-raising event for 2018. The class worked like a well-oiled machine last week with two tuck shop runs.
Thursday’s lunch was a delicious roast chicken roll and Friday’s was American farm-style hot dogs with different sauces like barbeque and sweet chilli.
For the sweet toothed, there were mini and maxi fairy cupcakes, sweets and cool drinks. Well done to the team for starting off with such success and for choosing a stylish theme. The next theme will be British cuisine.

The academy has settled into a routine after the holidays and welcomed six new pupils this term, as well as student teacher Zotha Ngobese.
