Woman claims to have been repeatedly raped by Margate employer

The man will remain in custody until his next court appearance.

A MAN (63) has appeared in court after Margate detectives arrested him for allegedly raping his employee.

Police spokesman, Captain Gerald Mfeka, said the man has been accused of raping  his 30-year-old employee between January and May 2017 when she worked at his residence in Philip Road, Margate.

“The woman was afraid to report the matter as she is her family’s sole breadwinner,” said Captain Mfeka.

The man appeared in the Ramsgate Court last Friday and the case was postponed to Monday, May 15.

He remains in custody and investigations by Margate FCS continue.
