Altercation leads to stabbing at Margate beach

The man was treated at the scene before being taken to hospital.

Shawn Herbst, spokesman for Netcare 911 said at about lunchtime last Saturday, paramedics responded to reports of a stabbing on  Margate’s main beach.

“Reports from the scene indicated that two men were involved in an altercation which ended with one of the men (30) being assaulted and stabbed. He was treated at the scene for a head wounds before being taken to hospital in a stable condition.”
Margate police are investigating.
