Yoga on the beach raises funds for surf riders

Money raised will go to the development surf riders from Umzumbe and Trafalgar Saints.

Simone Mary Fink of hOHM Yoga & Wellness, from Mantis & Moon Backpackers Lodge, hosted a free yoga class at St Mike’s beach last Saturday.

However donations were welcome, with these going towards helping the development surf riders from Umzumbe and Trafalgar Saints to compete at the SA Championships in Jeffreys Bay as part of Ugu surf riders team.

The event had people of all ages, backgrounds, shapes and sizes taking part with enthusiasm.

Simone said that the outdoor yoga event not only built community spirit but also raised funds for a good cause. She thanked all who donated towards this event.

“And, of course, a big thank you to all who attended the event and to those who were there in spirit. It was such an amazing event to put together and I couldn’t have done so well without the love and support of our wonderful community.”
