WI arts and crafts workshop hones hidden talents

The crafters learned some innovative ideas in creating the colourful merchandise.

Several women (and men) tried their hands at fabric painting, paper craft, making patchwork serviette holders, scrap-booking, chalk painting and creating mandalas at the Port Shepstone Women’s Institute workshop at the Presbyterian Church last Saturday.

Women’s Institute executive member Susan Johnstone said that the women learned some innovative ideas in creating the colourful merchandise. “But not everybody knows where they come from. The end result of our fresh, innovative methods of creating goods speak for themselves. The products are bright, full of colour and beautiful.”
