Young body builder from Widenham making his way to the top
This was the first time Chad (19) had competed in an event like this.
Congratulations to local lad, Chad Roux-Nel of Widenham, who recently took part in the East Coast Classic Bodybuilding Competition and took home third place in his category.

The event was held at the UKZN Westville Campus on Saturday, June 30. This was the first time Chad (19) had competed in an event like this.
“It was always his dream to stand on stage one day, no matter where he placed that didn’t matter and now his dream came true,” said proud mum, Jenny Shepherd.
Chad placed third in the juniors category of 19-23 year-olds under 75kgs.
He is thankful for being under the wing and guidance of Intense Gym in Umkomaas and is grateful to have been coached by his role model and body-building champion, Julian-lee Ramdhari.
