Hope on the Move is hosting a fund-raising high tea in support of Latisha Sadapal.

Latisha, of Marburg, was diagnosed with a rare type of stomach cancer at the age of 24.

Unfortunately her medical aid cancelled her membership. Latisha has fought with a fierce heart from the start. She has completed her chemo cycle and had an operation to remove her entire stomach. Since the operation she has had several complications.

Legacy concert

Turning Point Ministries is hosting a grand legacy concert in memory of Reverend Sam Owdbehari. The event will be held at the church at 20 Victory Road, Lions Grove on July 28 at 7pm.

It’s a fund-raising event to realise Rev Owdbehari’s vision of seeing the church ceiling and floors complete.

The concert is a mix of some of his favourites including comedian Maeshni Naicker and Idols 2013 top 10 contestant Crystalene Nair.

Comedy show

After sell-out shows around KZN earlier this year, Aunty Rumba, the alter ego of TV personality and actress Jailoshni Naidoo, makes her way for the very first time to the Wild Coast Sun Hotel and Casino Resort’s Tropical Nites Theatre for an encore of her outrageous stage comedy show, ‘Aunty Rumba Goes to Bollywood.

‘ Everyone’s favourite aunty is on a hilarious and stir-crazy mission to meet her Bollywood hero, superstar Rajnikanth.

Audiences can brace themselves for side-splitting comedy. Along for the ride is Aunty Rumba’s noisy neighbour Aasiya, brother Bully and many other colourful characters.

Tamil golf day

The Port Shepstone Tamil Association will host its annual Tamil Golf Day at the Port Shepstone Country Club this Sunday, July 22. Tee-off time is at 9am for a shotgun start. Time for worship

Everyone is invited to attend the ‘United Night of Worship’ to be held at Port Shepstone Civic Centre next Friday, July 27 from 6pm. Beach prayer

The Shree Raam Narayan Mandir in Marburg invites all to its annual Ganga Pooja (river and beach prayer) to be held at My Den, Oslo Beach next Saturday, July 28 at 2pm.

The mandir will also observe Pancho Pooja, a public prayer, at the mandir on July 29 at 7.30am. Guest speaker is Ranjith Ramnarain.
