Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a man whose body was found in Nyangwini near Hibberdene.

Last Saturday at about 10pm the 41-year-old man was found with multiple stab wounds near Esibanini sports field.
“It is believed that the victim was approached by a group of men armed with knives while he was at a tavern. He was threatened but managed to run away and was later found in a pool of blood at the sports field,” said police spokesman, Captain Petros Zenzele Mpinge.
He added that the motive for the murder is unknown at this stage and the killers are still at large.
Detective Sergeant Siyabonga Bovana of Hibberdene detectives is investigating. Anyone with any information is asked to contact the Hibberdene police station at 039 699 9800.
