A case of murder was registered at Sawoti Saps after 35-year-old Sphelele Ndlovu was shot and killed in Kenterton in the Sawoti area on Monday, July 30.
“Ndlovu allegedly became involved in a fight with a man, during which Ndlovu was shot in the abdomen and back,” said Scottburgh Saps communications officer, Captain Vincent Pandarum.
He died en route to the G J Crookes Hospital in Scottburgh.

An arrest was soon made by the Sawoti Saps, and the suspect, Imraan Mansoor (26) appeared in the Vulamehlo Magistrate’s Court on August 1 and was remanded back into police custody.
He is expected to make his next court appearance today, Wednesday, August 8.
“Police recovered a 9mm pistol at the scene,” said Captain Pandarum.
