Teen found dead near Hibberdene

No foul play is suspected at this stage.

Port Shepstone police confirmed that a teenager  (17) was found hanged from a tree near a river at Mfazazana area in Hibberdene yesterday (Thursday).

The body was taken to Port Shepstone government mortuary for a post mortem examination.

“No foul play is suspected and in inquest has been opened for investigation. The deceased has not yet been officially identified,” said police spokesman, Captain Petros Zenzele Mpinge.

On Monday this week another inquest docket was opened by Port Shepstone Saps after a woman’s body was discovered in Merlewood.

Police were called out to a house in Oak Avenue, were a 23-year-old woman was found hanged from the ceiling of a garage at about 7pm.

Investigation are continuing in this case.
