Guest speaker, Trevor Downham of the Norwegian Settlers Church, encouraged the businessmen and women to make a difference by contributing what little they could in order to make an enormous difference to any organisation in need in their communities.

Mr Downham spoke about how the business community had been an integral part of the ministries and how their assistance had impacted positively in communities.

He also gave an insight on various projects run by the church and the Genesis Trust and explained how the projects aid communities in need.

“People are facing different challenges, including crime, drugs and many other social ills; church is slowly becoming relegated into what happens in the church buildings; because of this we realised church should be out there in the community.”

According to Mr Downham, this created a need for them to start other initiatives which included the Genesis Care Centre, the gym, music academy, leadership training and many other projects.

Mr Downham also thanked all businesses for their “incredible” support.
