Woman found dead – possibly strangled – near Sezela

The victim was later identified as Malangeni resident, Samke Mkhize.

UMZINTO Saps have registered a case of murder for investigation after an 18-year-old woman was found, apparently strangled to death, on the N2 near Sezela.

Members of the Umzinto Saps responded to a report of a body lying alongside the N2 northbound freeway on Wednesday, August 29. “A post mortem will be conducted to establish the cause of the death,” said Scottburgh Saps Communications Officer, Captain Vincent Pandarum.

The victim was later identified as Malangeni resident, Samke Mkhize.

The motive for the murder is yet to be established and anyone who is able to assist with information which could aid in the investigation is urged to contact the Umzinto Saps Detective Service at 039-9746500/6556.
