Update: Second arrest made in ‘body parts in a bucket’ case

The two suspects were denied bail.

The man who was arrested for being in possession of human body parts in Margate on October 7 made his second appearance in the Ramsgate Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday this week.

At his first appearance last week, Phumlani Sibusiso Xolo (34), who hails from Nkothaneni Ward, Gcilima used a false surname, saying he was Sibusiso Ngidi.

Police last Friday arrested a second suspect, Xolo’s 46-year-old neighbour.

She appeared in the Ramsgate Magistrate’s Court on on Monday this week and again on Tuesday alongside Xolo.

Both will appear again on Tuesday, October 23. They remain in police custody.

Meanwhile, traditional healers have condemned this, stressing that they don’t use human body parts for muthi.
