Police warn against buying stolen property after Scottburgh home is burgled

According to the Saps, the door was damaged and the burglar guards bent in order to gain access into the property.

Police have sent out a stern warning against purchasing stolen property after a home in Ann Arbour Road, Scottburgh was burgled on October 2.

According to the Saps, the door was damaged and the burglar guards bent in order to gain access into the property. The residents were at work when the burglary occurred.

“A television, cellphone and clothing were taken,” said Margate Saps communications officer, Captain Gerald Mfeka.

The Saps are calling on members of the public to report criminal or suspicious activities to their nearest police station. Constable Sifiso Gumede of the Scottburgh Saps Detective Service is investigating.
