She certainly proved why she is one of the hottest properties on the cabaret circuit with her recent show `An Evening With Shirley Bassey’ at Margate Retirement Village.

Tonya had instant rapport with her supper theatre crowd with her superb, controlled voice as she paid tribute to one of the great women of song Dame Shirley. In between the songs, Tonya narrated the girl from Tiger Bay’s tough life story with humour and empathy.

And her rendition of her favourite Bassey hit `Diamonds Are Forever’ was simply outstanding – a fitting tribute to the best-known of all the Bond singers, Dame Shirley.
