The event was an amazing opportunity for young women to build their confidence.
Kelly Defilippi, founder of L’Amour Savon KZN, said she had always had in mind the idea of encouraging girls through the modelling industry.

To this end, she organised the Face of L’Amour Savon KZN 2018 pageant at Izotsha Creek Estate last Saturday.
The main sponsor of the event was Harbourview SuperSpar in Port Shepstone.

Kelly said it was an amazing opportunity for young women to build their confidence and public speaking skills, learn about the industry, make plenty of contacts and enjoy exciting new experiences.

“The contest is already well-established, as I hosted one last year as well. Beauty pageants have changed a lot in recent years, but are still a great way to give girls a public platform to air their views and support the causes they care about.”
She pointed out that the Face of L’Amour Savon KZN competition always aims to support well-rounded young women. “It can be seen as more than just a beauty pageant, as candidates are chosen based on skills, passions, personality as well as outward beauty.”

The new Face of L’Amour Savon KZN 2018 brand ambassadors in the various categories include Sheugnet Gifford and her daughter Georgia (mother and daughter), Lindelwa Jali (teen), Payal Ramlall (open) and Isabella Bree Martin (junior).
Incidentally Sheugnet was the Hibiscus Queen in 1992.
