At the beginning of every year, the school holds an ‘Awareness Week’ when members from South Coast Recovery Centre share testimonies about their struggle with addiction to warn pupils about the use and abuse of illegal substances.

Throughout the year, talks, meetings and presentations take place to support the school’s fight against the scourge of drugs.

The committee’s annual ‘de-stress hamper’ raffle during the fourth term serves as a good fund-raiser for future programmes aimed at promoting an anti-drug culture at Sheppie High and in the community.

Each year local businesses wholeheartedly support this cause and donate generously to the drive with vouchers, donations and hampers fillers. The school thanks everyone for the continued support and generosity.
