New policing office for Marburg

The new building is scheduled to open early next year.

Hope Park and Lazer 911 Security have commenced construction of new community policing offices.

These offices will be manned 24 hours by the security company and will extend its community policing services to the entire Ray Nkonyeni Municipality, free of charge.

The office is being constructed at the entrance to Hope Park in Dairy Road, Marburg.

This facility will provide safety and security to Hope Park and the security company will be working closely with the police and law enforcement to keep the entire community safe.

Basil Lanka of Lazer 911 said the company had recently partnered with Ray Nkonyeni Municipality to upgrade and provide similar security at Oslo Beach Park.

“We would like to thank all sponsors who have assisted so far and would like to invite the public to contribute more in terms of providing building materials, fencing, funding and labour. We want to keep our community safe and secure,” he said.

Pastor Reggie John said the policing office is excellent news, not only for the park but for the Marburg community at large.

“Working together with police, law enforcement, private security companies and the community is the only way to fight crime,” he said.

He added that the office is scheduled to open early next year.
